Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in every plan?

  • SDKs for all major stacks
  • 99.99% uptime
  • SOC-2 Compliance
  • Local caching

What is a flag evaluation?

Flag evaluations occur when you check a flag for a given context to determine if a user or company should be entitled to a resource in your application.

What counts as a "monetized subscription"?

Companies with an active subscription and payment method that have been billed or will be billed depending on usage or trial expiration.
Examples:
  • Companies in a plan that costs $25/m
  • Companies in a plan that charges $5 per unit per month
  • Companies in a plan that includes 5 units per month and then charge $1 per unit per month beyond that limit
  • Companies in a trial that requires a payment method (they will pay their first invoice at the end of the trial unless they cancel)

What DOES NOT count as a "monetized subscription"?

Examples:
  • Companies without an active subscription managed by Schematic
  • Companies in a free plan
  • Companies in a trial that doesn’t require a payment method (they will downgrade to the default plan once the trial expires)

What if I have lots of low-paying customers?

That’s common in usage-based and freemium models. Schematic helps you maximize LTV through better pricing enforcement, gating, and conversion. And your cost per customer goes down as you grow — so we scale with you, not against you.

What happens when I cross 25 monetized subscriptions in the Free tier?

Once you reach your limit, companies will not be able to checkout to a paid plan.

Do you charge per seat?

Nope. Unlimited seats.

Can I keep using all the advanced features in Growth?

Yes — but some will move to add ons. You only pay for what you need. Most teams don’t use everything right away.

Do I have to upgrade if I grow in event volume?

No — only if you're monetizing more customers or using advanced monetization features that add real value.
